Jiddu Krishnamurti, (12 Mayıs 1895 - 17 Åžubat 1986) Hindistan'ın Madanapalle kentinde doÄŸdu. 1909 yılında C.W. Leadbeater tarafından keÅŸfedildi. 13 yaşındayken Theosophical Society tarafından "dünya öÄŸretmeni" olarak seçildi. KonuÅŸmaları ve yazıları herhangi bir dinle baÄŸlantılı deÄŸildir. Kendisine mesihlik yakıştırılmış olmasına raÄŸmen bunu kesinlikle reddetmiÅŸtir. Bütün dünyada geniÅŸ bir dinleyici kitlesine ulaÅŸmış olmasına raÄŸmen çevresindekiler tarafından oluÅŸturulan örgütü kendisi dağıtmıştır. Hiçbir zaman kendisini bir otorite olarak görmedi ve çevresinde müridlerin oluÅŸmasını istemedi. Her zaman bir birey ile bir baÅŸka birey olarak konuÅŸmayı tercih etti. Krishnamurti, 1986'da ölümüne kadar konuÅŸmalarını sürdürdü.

Eserleri, Dünyayı dolaÅŸarak yaptığı konuÅŸmalardan derlenmiÅŸtir. KonuÅŸmalarında "hakikatin/gerçeÄŸin yolları olmayan bir ülke" ("truth is a pathless land.") olduÄŸunu ve bireyin ancak sessiz/dingin bir farkındalıkla ve tüm yaÅŸam ile bütünleÅŸerek yaÅŸaması halinde gerçeÄŸin/hakikatin kendiliÄŸinden geleceÄŸini söylemiÅŸtir. Ölüm ile YaÅŸamın bir ve tekliÄŸi, yaÅŸamın duraÄŸan olamayacağı, korku, özgürlük, ÅŸiddet,doÄŸa ve çevre vb. üzerine konuÅŸmalar yapmıştır.
